Medfield 2022 Summer Concert Series

MEMO will be hosting 10 concerts in 2022, showcasing a variety of music for people of all ages at the Gazebo in the center of Town next to the Public Library. People attending these concerts often picnic on the grass while listening to the music. There will be no rain-dates. See below for notice of cancellation.

June 16 – Medfield High and Middle Schools jazz band and Medfield High School Chorus

The Medfield High School Jazz Band & Jazz Choir continues to impress jazz festival adjudicators across the state of Massachusetts.  In recent years, the students have toured Cuba, China, and New Orleans, and are showcased in Gold Medal performances at Boston’s Esplanade. June 23 – The Remnants

The Remnants are a high-energy classic/pop/blues rock cover band based in Medfield. From Amy Winehouse to Stevie Ray Vaughn, the band performs the tastiest classics from the 70s to the 2000s, served up fresh with a side of funk. This summer the band will appear at outdoor venues from Boston to the Cape. Join us as we make our return to the Gazebo!

June 30  – KEITH CURBOW STUDIO BAND

This group is comprised of jazz musicians playing the kind of popular music horns play best – funk. Fun and entertaining favorites from bands like Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power and Earth Wind and Fire are fun for the whole family. July 7 – The Grass Gypsys

This eclectic local band has toured throughout America playing their original roots music. Their music ranges from upbeat rock ‘n roll to country ballad to soulful jazz. They have released 3 full-length albums, and always bring a toe-tapping performance.

July 14 – Ironstone Road

A diverse rock cover band consisting of 3 musicians, including Medfield resident Steve McCrossan, who have been working in the genre for over 4 decades. With an extensive song list of rock classics performed with musical precision, Back Pages is sure to please any audience.

July 28 – SHANE WOOD JAZZ TRIO

Come check out the smooth Jazz with Medfield resident, Shane Wood on piano and vocals, Neil Kruszkowski on saxophone and vocals and Bruce Owens on drums. The Trio plays a unique blend of jazz arrangements, including songs from contemporary artists and classic composers as well as original compositions.

August 23 The Stacey Peasley Band – Cancelled due to Rain!

One of Metrowest’s favorite family acts. Their catchy original music has garnered awards from the Parents’ Choice Foundation, NAPPA and Creative Child Magazine, as well as airplay on Sirius XM’s Kids’ Place Live and children’s radio programs across the country. Adults and children alike will sing and dance to their favorite Stacey Peasley songs.

August 18 – SONGS FOR CEILIDH 

A local Celtic band, Songs for Ceilidh, pronounced
“Kay-Lee”, blends Celtic classics with Cape Breton inspired originals. They’ve shared the stage with “The Glengarry Boys” and “The Town Pants”. Their name says it all, ceilidh: a high energy, foot stomping party!
